Ag. Nikolaos

Agios Nikolaos the picturesque village with traditional houses and churches of St. George and St. Paraskevi is located on the east side of the entrance of Sithonia. Surrounded from north to south by a dense pine forest and the eastern Gulf of Mount Athos. In the settlement of St. Nicholas are preserved 19th century houses, fine examples of folk architecture. It is worth visiting the tower, located just 2.5 km from the village and has finds of the Holy Monastery of St. Nicholas Chrysokamarou.

From Vetrinos hill, southwest of the village you can gaze at the breathtaking view, Vourvourou with peninsulas and its islands.

At the beaches Lagonisi Latoura, Trani Ammouda, Pyrgos, Shinia, Salonikiou and others, which are within walking distance of the village, the tourists can enjoy the sea. It has very good tourist infrastructure, 4 hotels and 490 rooms and apartments.
