Ammouliani

Ammouliani, an island of 4.5 square kilometers, the only inhabited island in central Macedonia, is located in the Gulf of Mount Athos. Its distance from Thessaloniki is 130 km and connects to the opposite coast of Tripiti by ferry. It has many beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters and sand ideal for swimming, the surface of the island is planted with olive trees. On the island there are plenty of apartments and hotels.

Some of the most beautiful beaches where you can swim, are Alikes, St. George, Megali Ammos, Tsaska, Nisakia, Karagatsi, Faka. If you have a boat, you can visit dozens of the hidden beaches in small bays. You will find restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets and bars for your convinience.

You may also visit the small islands Drenia, which are uninhabited islets around Ammouliani. Access is by boat, which you can rent from Ammouliani, or by regular tours that depart from Ouranoupolis. You will have the opportunity to swim on the sandy beaches and dine in the local tavern.
